A MESSAGE FROM MARK

More Than Just Books

I'm not a pastor or a theologian. I'm a tennis coach who has spent a lifetime listening to people's stories, learning from their struggles, and discovering how faithful God has been through it all.

My hope is that through these books and messages, someone who is struggling will find encouragement, someone who feels lost will find hope, and someone who has drifted away from God will find their way back to Jesus Christ.

— Mark Lewis

Welcome

There's a story behind every life.

After a lifetime of coaching, I've learned that the greatest lessons often have little to do with what happens on the tennis court. They come from the people we meet, the challenges we face, and the faith that carries us through.

I'm glad you're here. I hope something you read encourages you to keep going, trust God, and remember that your story isn't finished.

Weekly Biblical Encouragement for Men and Women

Every week, I share messages of faith, encouragement, and practical lessons from God's Word with men and women from all walks of life. My goal is to encourage others to grow closer to Jesus Christ, stand strong through life's challenges, and remember that God has a purpose for their lives. Whether you're facing a difficult season or simply looking for encouragement to start your week, I hope these messages remind you that you're never walking alone.

For Men

Faith That Stands Strong

Faith isn't just something we talk about. It's something we live out in how we lead, serve, love, and respond when life gets difficult.

For Women

The Seeds You Plant Today

Sometimes the most important work is the work we don't see bearing fruit right away. Keep planting, keep trusting, and don't give up.

THE HEART BEHIND THE BOOKS

Why I Write

For as long as I can remember, my dad has said, “Tie a knot and hang on. The Lord will bless you.”

When I was younger, I didn't fully understand what he meant. I do now. He wasn't promising that life would be easy or that every prayer would be answered the way I hoped. He was teaching me where to place my trust when life gets hard.

After years on the tennis court, I've come to understand that people carry their lives with them wherever they go. I've heard stories of joy and heartbreak, courage and loss, faith and uncertainty. Some made me laugh; others changed the way I see the world.

Those experiences inspired Tie a Knot and Hang On — The Lord Will Bless You. My upcoming devotional, Built for the Battle, grows from the same desire to share biblical encouragement for everyday challenges.

My prayer is simple: that these words point people beyond my story and toward Jesus Christ.

About Mark

I grew up in San Saba, Texas, where faith, family, and sports were part of everyday life. I was blessed with people who showed me the value of hard work, being present for those you love, and holding on when life gets difficult.

Tennis eventually took me far beyond that small Texas town. I played college tennis and built a career as a coach, including coaching at the college level and leading programs at clubs. Today, I serve as Director of Tennis and Pickleball Operations at the Country Club of Ocala.

Along the way, I've met thousands of people. Some walked onto the court celebrating life's blessings; others carried struggles that no one around them could see. Over time, I realized the most important moments weren't always about forehands, backhands, or winning a match. They were about listening, encouraging, and being there for someone.

My own life has included difficult seasons, mistakes, and new beginnings. Through them, I've learned to depend less on my own strength and more on Jesus Christ. I'm a husband, father of four, coach, and writer who is still learning and growing in faith.

I write because I hope the stories I've been privileged to witness—and the lessons God continues to teach me—might encourage someone else to hold on to Him.

“Be strong and courageous!”
— Joshua 1:9, NLT
